With views of the lush tropical gardens, the Mirage Resort Room were refreshed in 2016 and can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (0-17 years) in the 42sq. metre space. Rest easy on the signature Sheraton beds, available with either 1 king bed or two double beds. To keep you entertained, these rooms are fitted with a flat screen TV entertainment system, Wi-Fi access and an integrated communication & audio phone hub. *Daintree & Cape Tribulation Tour
Your Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation 4WD Bloomfield Track full-day tour from Port Douglas begins with being met by your friendly accredited guide at your accommodation approximately 8:20am, depending on location.
After introductions, we drive north along the magnificent scenic coastal route along the Captain Cook Highway learning about the history of the area and admiring spectacular views of the coastline and the Azure waters of the Coral Sea.

Stop 1: Daintree Rainforest River Cruise & Morning Tea – our first stop is at the Majestic Daintree River for morning tea (tea, coffee & biscuits) before enjoying an informative guided River Cruise on the Daintree River. Relax and enjoy the splendour only the Daintree Rainforest can offer as you learn of Estuarine Crocodiles, mangrove forests and endemic wildlife, this is nature at its best!
Stop 2: Alexandra Range Lookout – we make our way up over the Alexandra Range and pause for a panoramic view of World Heritage, Wet Tropics, and Tropical Rainforest merging with the azure colours of the Coral Sea.
Stop 3: Guided Boardwalk and natural rainforest walk – a reasonable level of fitness is required to complete the short 1km approx. circuit with most of the trail being on a raised, timber boardwalk but with some of the trail being on rocky and uneven surfaces. Your experienced guide will take you on a wonderful journey through this ancient rainforest whilst giving you an interpretation of flora and fauna and you will have ample time for photographs and questions as we search for the elusive, rare and totally unique Southern Cassowary and other wildlife species within this particular habitat.
Stop 4: Lunch – Enjoy lunch at a local cafe in the Daintree Rainforest region.
Stop 5: Emmagen Creek Wildlife Spotting & Swim – we will take you beyond the famous Daintree Tea Plantation, past spectacular mountains and through spectacular World Heritage Rainforest as we pass Cape Tribulation and continue along the 4WD Bloomfield Track through to pristine Emmagen Creek. Billy Tea Safaris is the only tour operator that goes to this secret Jewel in the Rainforest, and now it is time for a refreshing rainforest stream swim, in crystal clear fresh waters and without the crowds of people.
Stop 6: Cape Tribulation Beach – we then make our way to Cape Tribulation Beach after most of the crowds are gone, stroll along the beach and boardwalk to the photographers’ platform overlooking the mountains and coast where the ‘Rainforest meets the Reef.’
Stop 7: Ice-cream stop – we stop for a sweet treat on the way home from your fabulous day out in the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation.

Tour is not available on 4 October, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Join the Interactive Bird Experience at 9am and 12.30pm daily, for up-close bird interaction and great photo opportunities. These activities then flow into other guided tours and talks throughout the park that are conducted by experienced Wildlife Keepers. The café, located within the picturesque Wetlands, is also open daily for snacks and light meals.

As you make your way through the five environments within the park, you will have the opportunity to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies, observe cassowaries, and the Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroos.
