Full Day Green Island Discovery

Green Island is a beautiful 6000-year-old coral cay located in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park – a premier world heritage site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Grab your snorkel gear and head to the Lifeguard patrolled beach to explore the marine world off the beach, take a stroll through the unique tropical rainforest, laze on the white coral sand beach or take part in some of the optional activities that Green Island has to offer.

Cairns Aquarium Entry*

Enjoy all day admission to Cairns newest attraction! See the animals and habitats endemic to Tropical North Queensland and learn about the importance of the Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Ecosystem talks, animal presentations, live diver feeds and marine and reptile touch’n’talk shows are all available daily. See Australia’s only 10m Deep Reef Tank, 360 degree Oceanarium, 20m underwater tunnel, mangrove boardwalk and the giant River Monsters exhibit. Executive Room – Upgrade from only $50pp

Modern, spacious and sophisticated, an Executive Room offers partial ocean, city or hinterland views and access to the hotel’s Executive Lounge with evening drinks and canapes served from Sunday to Thursday between 5pm-7pm. On Friday and Saturday nights, drinks and canapes will be served between 5pm – 6.30pm & 6.30pm – 8pm.

Car Transfers – return car transfer from only $60pp

Have a car waiting for your at Gold Coast Airport to seamlessly transfer you to Holiday Inn Cairns Harbourside and return you to the airport after your holiday.

An Environmental Management Charge of $6.50 is levied on all adults and children entering the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. This charge is included in the rates.

An Environmental Management Charge of $6.50 is levied on all adults and children entering the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. This charge is included in the rates.

Please note: Green Island Discovery does not run on Tuesday or Thursday.

One depature on days of operation at 8.30am from Cairns and 2.30pm from Green Island – please consider this when booking other components.

Type of Vehicle for Seat in Coach Transfer:

Toyota Coaster: 20 pax, no baby seat anchor points

Confirmations: Guests are requested to reconfirm with the office 48 hours prior to travel by calling Exemplar on 07 4213 3333.

Airport Seat-in-Coach: Vehicle will depart at scheduled time. Pax who are late for vehicle will be assigned to next available vehicle. If there is no practicable “next available vehicle” Exemplar will assist with finding alternative transport. Either a Refund or a No-Show Fee may apply depending on the circumstances. (eg flight delayed/cancelled then refund; if pax slept in and missed flight then No-Show)
