Day 1 – 3 Auckland
Welcome to Auckland. With an irresistible combination of magnificent natural scenery and a vibrant, yet laid-back, city lifestyle, Auckland is a place of exciting contrasts and endless adventures. Auckland city has a plethora of exciting restaurants and bars to experience, from the waterside precincts at Wynyard Quarter and Viaduct Harbour, to the eclectic Britomart and the inner suburbs of Ponsonby Central and Parnell Road. Head to Parnells French Style Farmers Markets every Saturday and Sunday morning to sample local gourmet treats.

Day 4 Auckland to Wellington
Today make your way to the Auckland Strand Railway Station where you will travel on New Zealands long distance scenic train service onboard the Northern Explorer taking you through rolling green farmland, past quaint country towns & along the Raurimu Spiral. The journey through Tongariro National Park, with its 3 spectacular volcanic mountains, is a highlight – where snow-blanketed fields, ancient lava flows & dense beech forests can be seen side by side.

Day 5 – 6 Wellington
